If they are not born again they have no faith in Christ.

Re: Are you sure you're saved?
Heres my take:
But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
1 cor 9:27
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Philippians 2:12
I have heard folks/preachers state that they are 100% sure of salvation, and I get that. But I look at it a little differently.
I am 100% confident in Jesus' sacrifice for sin. What I am not so confident in is my ability to stay "In Christ" . According to the scripture above, Paul wasn't too confident either! I know I am saved as long as I stay on the path. But I will not act as if it's a done deal. His act is done....mine isn't until I take my last breath on this Earth. At that point hopefully I can say that I have fought a good fight I have kept the faith!

Re: Are you sure you're saved?
I personally feel something is missing if we do not 100% believe we are saved.
1 Corinthians 15:2 KJV By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

I call it faith but you can call it whatever you want but it's what Jesus, James, John clearly taught as well as Paul.

Re: Are you sure you're saved?
I find that many confuse being righteous and holy with something similar to becoming spiritually mature. We have to BECOME spiritually mature after we are saved. Some view righteousness the same way. They think they BECOME righteous and holy through time after they are saved.
We are righteous and holy the moment we are saved. But that is also taken incorrectly by people who are not sure they are saved already. What a vicious cycle.

In covenant and being saved are two different things. Your not "saved" in the since of eternal life, til he says well done! God offers the provision for your sin but the race to eternal life is not about the first step!
