How can a body functioning in Apostolic fashion as laid out in I Corinthians 14 be unorganized?

How can a body who sees themselves as precious living stones of the church be anti-church?

Many Christians don't believe that tithing is a New Testament practice. That's a theological debate greater minds than ours have debated quite well.

As with the institutional church, there are many different kinds of house churches, and yes... many are Pentecostal, having the gifts of the Spirit among them. So, how can they be labeled anti-Pentecostal?

I've seen people weep under the conviction of sin in a house church. I've seem them weep tears of joy, clap, and sing praise. How can this be anti-emotional?

Seeing that well over half of all the Christians on planet earth live in very poor countries and countries where they are in serious persecution and meet in homes, how is establishing a "biblical" structure for church anti-Reality?

He's wrestling the truth in his own mind. Give him time, God is dealing with him. He may leave the institutional church and form the greatest network of Apostolic house churches in the United States, or... he might simply see the point made by house churchers and lend greater support and time to ministering in home based fellowship groups. Say a prayer for him and continue the discussion.

It really is important for any person who posts on online forums to consider when you are being played because you are viewed as being so stupid that your purpose is to serve as chum for fleeting moments of entertainment for those who see themselves as being robed in the preeminent seat.

Long ago, AB plainly stated that he comes over here for entertainment value (I am left to suppose that the CoGiC has nothing similar that could be engaged without risking demotion or loss of public invitations). The seduction to promote one's self is something we all need to mindful of; in other's motive and in our own motive.

So thanks AB. You have done a valuable service by keeping house to house assembly on the front page at AFF for a couple of days, while giving us another chance to consider the words and spirit of a licensed pastor in a human organization.

Re: More on Housechurches(less on House-a-God's)

LOL - You guys are a HOOT! One thing for sure - I am NOT going to let these that are in deception and are robbing God try to persuade others of their crazy rebellious doctrine without me saying something. They are robbers of GOD!
I have NEVER missed a TITHE in my 55 years of living and have been blessed by God for it. I love to give and sow and invest everything into the Kingdom of God and am happy to do so.
So - Givers, Tithers, Sowers, Keep on giving and you will be blessed.
Be faithful to the House of God - The Church of the Living God - The Assembly of the First Born! God will bless you for it. Forget the little cultic house fellowships with their nasty casseroles that only want you there so they can manipulate you. That nutty house church leader is ego driven and only wants to be lifted up as super spiritual. Don't give him ONE DIME of your money. TITHE and BE BLESSED! Don't listen to the thieves and rebellious egomaniacs.
NO CASSEROLES FOR ME!

Depends on how you define preaching. For example, in Acts we see that Paul “preached” until midnight:
Acts 20:7
{20:7} And upon the first [day] of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
The word used for “preached” here is “dialegomai”, meaning to “discuss” or have dialogue.
1256 // dialegomai // dialegomai // dee-al-eg'-om-ahee //

middle voice from 1223 and 3004 ; TDNT - 2:93,155; v

AV - dispute 6, reason with 2, reason 2, preach unto 1,
preach 1, speak 1; 13

1) to think different things with one's self, mingle thought with thought
1a) to ponder, revolve in mind
2) to converse, discourse with one, argue, discuss
Paul’s “preaching” was a discussion format, Paul didn’t offer a ranting monologue with the traditional “preacher’s cough” in a microphone to a room of captive non-participative listeners. We see this kind of preaching throughout the book of Acts. Even on the Day of Pentecost, Peter preached Acts 2:38 as a result of his dialogue with the crowd. Phillip had a dialogue with the Ethiopian Eunuch. New Testament preaching is a dialogue. The traditional “sermon” is based on the Sophist philosophy of philosophical rhetoric in which the crowed passively listens, contemplates, and receives the message. The philosopher offers a base text or idea and supplies ample analogies to persuade the listener to his or her premise. It’s pagan in origin.

They discuss how horrible it is to go to a building that has the word CHURCH on it! LOL
Guys like this always end up ship wrecked and off on some crazy tangent.
I agree, no house church Christian should denigrate any body of believers regardless as to where they choose to worship. Sure, I believe the pros and cons should be openly discussed, but denigration is absolutely unnecessary.

Quote:
THANK GOD FOR THE CHURCH! I am glad I am in GOD'S CHURCH! I am not ashamed of THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD! I am not going to let anybody disrespect the HOUSE OF GOD without saying something! You might need to look up in the HOLY BIBLE and find these descriptions in the HOLY BIBLE. The Church of God, The House of God and other references to the Church. Just because somebody got hurt and upset with a preacher for preaching against their sin of rebellion - they want to go off on a tangent and have a little meeting of the rebellious in their house and call it a CHURCH. Give me a break- that HOUSE is NOT A CHURCH!
I call you to repent of your rebellion against the Church of the Living God and go back to that Pastor and ask him to forgive you of your sin and be restored to the flock of God.
The House of God is the Gate of Heaven!
Genesis 28:17 NIV "He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven."
The church is any assembly of believers, be it in a traditional church building or just two believers meeting for coffee, to discuss Scripture, and fellowship. I too thank God for the church. It’s important to remember that the places and temple of the OT are mere shadows of NT realities. We are the temple of the living God, church building or not.
