your "facts" are stipulated. Last season rose above the normal level to a point that some of us actually recognized it.
This season has been about the music.... at least as far as what I have read and what I saw last night. There were some things that made me uncomfortable but pop culture tends to do that to me. but I get it and clearly I am not objecting to those things persey because they were "normal"
Last season was anything but normal.

How can you say that with any credibility? If you only saw two shows last year and yet are telling us all about the tone of last year, wouldn't it be pretty fair to say you don't know what you're talking about?

Yeah.. J Lo would've been dumb to skip on releasing a single with all her new publicity. She's a hot commodity right now. People buy her music just because they like her -- certainly not because she can sing. She's an entertainer and has had a successful career at being J Lo.

I like music..... real music. I like music that's played on actual musical instruments, not computer-generated sound-effects that resemble musical instruments. If that makes me a "music snob", I'll wear the label proudly!

Yet he knows everything about the show last year. Ferd has the Gift of Knowledge and the Gift of Discerning of Spirits.

Music generated from a $9 kiddie keyboard from Toys-r-us is also music, but I'm not gonna buy it.

If it sounds good... and I like it... I will
Not all music is equal... music to dance to, listen to when you are feeling creative, listening to on road trip, listening to while studying, blaring after a hard day's work... there's something for everything

This computer-generated music is the equivalent of those Wurlitzer organs in the mall where some novice-organist who couldn't keep a beat to save his life would push a few buttons and, BAM, have drums, chords, and complete accompaniment while using one finger.
