I could see this kind of rebellion if the government had announced some kind of permanent ban against churches meeting but to ask for a temporary one in these circumstances is not only reasonable but prudent.

This news story disappointed me greatly. I don't think the Spell's are bad people and in fact people I respect think the world of them. I just think they made a badly misguided judgement. I read one news story saying Tony Spell thinks the whole coronovirus thing is just a political thing and I guess if you are that kind of conspiracy theorist maybe in your own mind you could justify doing what he did.
There is a reason for Bro. Spell did what he did. When I read the article it didn’t seem like a Bro. standing in the face of opposition. I guess call it a hunch, I just feel as if he may of felt he needed to show the organization who he is, political move, maybe? I could be dead wrong, but it doesn’t seem right to me doing what he did.

Yes sir. I’m not trying to offend, just that’s what I felt when I read the article.

If there was a reason I highly doubt it would be trying to show off to the Wpf... he has a well know and respected name already among the WPF.

No disrespect intended, but I don’t think I would post that kind of accusation based off of a hunch.

If I offended I’m sorry it wasn’t my intention. I’m just saying I think there is something else going on. In the near future we’ll see if I was wrong or correct. Lord Bless

Nico - I take it you do not know him. If you did, you would know that he is not worried about what people believe. He is concerned about souls and what God desires.
Now, our church has gone to online, but I have no concerns about Bro. Spell's motives.
Part of me wishes I had his faith and boldness, but God has not spoken to me that way!

I must be wrong. Like I said something just didn’t seem right to me when I read that article. I’ve been wrong before, Gods still good, Bro. Spell will be in my prayers.

I agree. I don’t know him personally because he is just not part of our fellowship but I have friends that are connected to him. Some of my friends are not happy with his decision and some are 100% behind him. I think he is doing what he feels God wants him to do. Hats off to him. He will be preaching one of the biggest conservative independent conference on the the west coast in October. I think the numbers in attendance will go up now.
