Hopefully LW won't have the horrible fake tan he had at the JCM reunion in 2005. He looked like he was glowing!

Singing in both choir and chorale we were taught the importance of true worship. My recollections of LW were that of an intercessor and worshipper who taught us we could do nothing in our own ability. I recall hearing him alone in the chapel praying - what an impression this made on my life. He not only stressed to us the need to worship but he also demonstrated this to us.

I attended until 1971 and in all of that time never did I hear of or observe any questionable behavior.

Perhaps the many wonderful worship songs he wrote were a result of these times alone in prayer. How very sad the fact that choices made in one's life can in essence affect the lives of many people. As food for thought - perhaps we as God's people were deprived of many other beautiful songs that could have been because of lost focus on the One who deserves our worship.

Sorry this is so long but just wanted to share this newbie's thoughts.

Alot of us have memories just like yours.Somewhere along the way LW changed,I remember a time I slept through an early morning prayer meeting at JCM.We were getting ready for a chorale and LWT tour and I couldn't get out of bed.LW was real upset at me,he made me go pray somewhere.
