Renda,

I made your yeast rolls, and I just put them in the freezer a few minuets ago-I hope I am doing this right-its ok to freeze them even if you are going to take them out tomorrow morning right?

Yes. What time are you having dinner? You probably could have just left them in the fridge since you'll be baking them tomorrow.

Hopefully, they'll look like this - - my dad's batch he made for Christmas last year!

I'm NOT cooking this year

I'm not cleaning up either.

We are going to Cracker Barrel to eat, and if we get bad weather, Momma bought a honey baked ham...

we'll eat at her house

I just finished the preparation for tomorrow- I will get up a 6 am tomorrow morning and crank it into high gear.
I made my cornbread dressing ahead of time and froze it. I will bake it tomorrow. Today I made Sweet Potato balls - Paula Deen's recipe
Cranberry Congealed salad - The first time I made this but it looks good.
I have the turkey in the brine water and the roasts marinating.
Tomorrow I will make a fruit salad , green salad and cook green peas, butter beans and creamed corn, and cook the turkey and roasts. My DIL and others are bringing desserts. Whew I get hungry just looking at all this food.

I'm taking a break before I begin the homemade noodles...no noodle maker here other than MamaB... Need to get this done before the nephews and their parents get up.

The turkey is ready to go into the oven in a couple of hours...

The ham ready to go in the crock pot with my own honey glaze, cooking on low and rotating from side to side...

Will put the green beans on in a bit as I like them cooked down...

Broccoli and cheese topped with fresh bread crumbs and in the fridge ready for baking...

I'm making candied yams for the first time this year, so I pray they come out okay. Mom doesn't like them with marshmellows, so I'm doing them on top of the stove and not going to bother baking...

Cole slaw is made...pies are baked...

Just need to open me a can of Coke and get back in the kitchen...

Jeanie,

Set those rolls out early - - since they are frozen, they will need time to thaw and then time to rise - - you might need to put them in a warm oven to move them along quicker!

Ferd, I wanted to tell you thank you, thank you, thank you for the turkey recipe. It's not done yet, but when I pulled it out of the brine this morning it was a beautiful light brown and smelled wonderful, then when I made the butter compound that smelled just as good, if not better. The butter compound smelled so good, I wondered if you could just use that as a spread for crackers. When the turkey started heating up, the aroma was unbelievable. There is no way this turkey can not taste absolutely delicious. Thank you so much Ferd!! God bless and everyone have a peaceful and joyful thanksgiving.

You will not regret it!!! The most awesome turkey I think you will ever find! We werent doing our dinner today originally because of hubby being away for work but got a call asking us to come to familys home (they are normally out of state) and so we accepted and then was so kindly asked to make this turkey also so ours is about an hour from being done also!!! Cant wait to bite into it!!!
