I'm still trying to find out if this verse is abrogated? Or did Azusa street really happen? Who was Harry Morse anyway, and why should we Easterners care?

Why would that help?

I will try and give a short answer. If Duet. 22:5 is about bifurcated garments being an abomination and the word abomination being as strong a word as we believe it to be, then I believe first, Genesis 3:21 would have been more detailed and specific and also somewhere between then and the Mosaic Law we would have some specific scripture.

1 Tim 2:9 likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire,
until recently, only dresses would be considered respectable apparel.
This thread was on my mind when I went grocery shopping today and I was contemplating how the women in the store, for the most part all in tight pants, must look like to men.

Re: More on Skirts
Now, lets look at the term gird up your loins. I believe this term refers to the actual act of wrapping the tunic between and about the thigh, not just a tightening of a belt as some have suggested. Now if I am correct with this then the bifurcation issue is null. If you ever wore a tunic you would understand why you would have to do this in order to work, run or fight.

Geeez I am glad I don't live in that town. I don't really have a problem telling the difference between the sexes, And I have worked all over. Now there are times that I wonder. But those have been few. Now concerning 1 Tim. I agree with one sisters post here. We have enough in the new testament.

you misunderstood, I did not say they look like men, I meant many were wearing pants which were way too revealing.

This is the easiest argument to win. Now sister while I agree with you on the 1 Timothy scripture these women only look like YOUR definition of apostolic. I guarantee you there is no resemblance to any womans dress in the New Testament.
