I wasn't upset with the results tonight. I do have to say though that Naima has been growing on me. The judges were exactly right when they told her a few weeks ago that she was losing her voice trying to dance. I noticed that now she concentrates to make sure the vocals are good first then moves her body second. She has a good voice and I think she has a shot at finding some decent level of success.

The other girl that got dropped was ok but no better than you can hear in any Karaoke club or High School musical.

I thought NOW said Stefano was going home this week.

Anyhow... I'm not disappointed with the results either. Naima was obvious. I'm surprised she even made it this far really. Her vocals have never been pleasant to the ears. She's a good entertainer overall, but not a strong vocal talent AT ALL. Every single performance has been pitchy. IMO she shouldn't have been in Top 24 (Karen either).

Thia has likability factor, but her age has shown. She's lacked confidence, which comes out as a lack of charisma on stage (personality-less, dull performances, and performances that were always too safe). She's got a bright future though, even if she doesn't get picked up by Disney in the coming year

From here on out, good singers will go home. We know that.

I was a little shocked to see Paul in the Bottom 3, to be honest, but it was reflective of the performances last night. Haley did very well. But her and Stefano are next to go (though he is solid every single week, he is missing that "special something" I think... I really like him and hope he finds a good niche in the industry... his version of Smokie Norful was a defining moment for him).

My top 3 are:

Casey
Paul
Pia

2 of my Top 3 have been in the bottom 3 already, which has surprised me.

I think James Durbin continues to deliver and he may break into my Top 3. Same goes for Lauren Alaina -- though, Lauren tends to play it safe, and depend on overall solid vocals and a whole lot of charm.

If I had to pick today, I'd say Casey wins this thing... no joke. And yes, Ryan, we want to know how many votes he received! I think I have underrated James Durbin, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's my upset.

I think Naima is unique and beautiful as well...but she's just too far out there to be 'American Idol' material, so I felt her days were numbered. Apparently, America agreed.

America picked the right two to leave tonight!

I don't see a big musical future for her... I really don't. At least not a major label. She may have a solid career put together with her special niche of dancing (African, Jamaica and Fly Girl mixed). Maybe even accompanying an artist like Wycleff Jean, or that Jaime Fox/Will I Am combo. Not sure how I see it. I really think she'll be forgotten in the big stage...

Two things stood out to me tonight in the 'group' singing by the contestants.

1.) Pia can't sing anything other than a ballad. She was WAY out of her element singing that faster song.

2.) James' voice just seemed to be a notch above the other 3 men's voices. The quality and tone really stood out to me.

And while it's still pretty early in the season to be sure, my prediction for Top 2 at this time are James and Haley.

I agree. Maybe she'll end up on Broadway?

But then again, we've thought that about others who left early all these years, and many haven't gone on to any big notariety.

A few have though.

I'm not sure what you are saying about James blending? I was commenting on the fact that when it came his turn to sing his solo he outshone the other 3 vocally. His quality and tone stood out as a step above the others.

Re James... Gotcha. He has a good tone. Though Paul is in a league of his own too... very unique. Actually, out of the guys, they all are pretty solid vocally. Casey and Paul are probably most unique (not your average, run-of-the-mill vocal talents).
