I'm excited! I love this time of year and my tree is already up! The parties are starting to fill the calendar, so that's always fun.

The Christmas chain is a great way to keep the kids from driving you nuts asking everyday! I remember doing it as a child and doing it for my children!!

Sounds like everyone had a great weekend. We had a wonderful weekend of services too. Br. Johnson preached Sunday night a message of faith and possibilities in Christ. It was very inspiring. One thing I really enjoy about attending church there- they not only believe in the Gifts of the Spirit- but they expect them to be in action and they are. God is so good and we are blessed to be in such a Book of Acts church. - I guess it is OK to brag on God and His people.
QE - that is dirt cheap for someone to come in and clean your house! I paid $45 to $50 for someone to come in and clean every other week. Jump on it girl!!!!!
I have to clean my own house now- It is funny because I had not really cleaned house in so long - that when I retired I had to relearn how. I read several articles on the best way to clean a house and actually picked up some tips. I have been occupied with some other stuff this last couple of weeks and have not really cleaned - So I know I have several days of cleaning ahead- Yuk!
I got my Christmas card labels ready this weekend - I will be mailing them out soon. I have done most of my shopping- We have lots of birthdays in Dec. too. Most of my shopping has been done on line. So I am just waiting on the mailman.
A- Praying for you. God is able to meet your need.
Talk to ya ll soon again- Love Blubayou

We got our house decorated Saturday... at least the inside is decorated. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed though. We bought a new living room suite this past spring when our income tax refund came in-- and the couch takes up so much room that I don't have room to put up the Christmas tree in the living room. I can either put it up in the dining room/kitchen area or not put it up at all. So I settled for setting up a small fiberoptic tree on the sofa table. I didn't even set up the Christmas village this year. Because there is no room for the tree, the train couldn't go around the tree either. So... it's different this year. I told hubby I'm going to sell the living room suite and get something else just so I can put up the tree next Christmas. LOL

I have a small mother of pearl nativity set out (no room for the large one I have packed away) I have tons of stuff that I don't have room to even put out in this house. I kind of went overboard in buying decorations on after Christmas clearance sales over the years... so since I can't put them all out at once, I will just have to rotate the items each year and decorate with different things. Until God blesses me with a huge house and plenty of room to put everything out.

Our schedule is filling up fast also. There is a ladies secret sister Christmas party, a leadership Christmas party, the children's Christmas program, Church Christmas banquet, married couples class Christmas party, The adult choir's Christmas concert..... plus all the family get togethers that have to be fitted in there somewhere.

I like the idea of the Christmas chain. I think I will let Kara help Michael make one today for art. Somewhere in all the Christmas decor, we have misplaced the Christmas countdown board we usually use. It's a small reindeer chalkboard with an eraser attached to a string. Michael usually counts down to Christmas on it... but I haven't come across it yet this year. So far I've been letting him tear off the pages on a small desktop calendar that I have here. I think he'd like the chain thing better.

I need to get back to work. I have got to find a box to pack an ebay item in. Surely I've got a box from amazon.com here somewhere that would work.

I have been awake since 5:30 just snuggled in the bed praying and thinking. This is really a "thoughts flying through my head at lightening speed" post and some sad, and some please pray for my family post.

My dad is 88 yrs. old. He was a mean and brutal person. The scars that I carry inside is much much worse than any scars that would be visible. From the time of my childhood he went to church and taught Sunday School. Because of the way he was is one reason I became an athiest. I felt that no one that mean would be allowed to live if there really was a God.

When I got saved through Gods love I was able to forgive him. And I told him that I forgave him. But I do not have any father-daughter fieeling toward him. I love him with the love that God showed me.

My dad is in the VA hospital and he is dying. I feel no sorrow in my heart. That bothers me. I don't want him to suffer I pray God would ease him out of this world gently, but as the idea that my FATHER is dying I have no sorrow. I pray that he will get everything straight with the Lord before he dies. I have that much Christian love for him.

Is something wrong withme? He never cared about me at all , he was never a real daddy to me. He threw me and how I felt away. I do not feel revengeful nor do I feel hatred. It is almost like I am numb to it all.
EXCEPT I am worried that there is something wrong with me because I do not feel anything at all.

I will understand if this needs to be moved somewhere else.

Hello Adra, I don't believe that we have "met" before. It is good to see you posting here. All I can offer are my prayers for you. I have never been in this type of situation - for which I am grateful - and I don't feel that I can help you with words other than if you are right with God and have a stable relationship with him - nothing else matters. I personally don't see how you could care deeply for him after reading your posts. I think what you are feeling is most likely normal. But, lets wait and see what others may post.

Well, it is SNOWING!!! We have almost 4 inches of snow this morning and we are supposed to get more later!!! My daughter is driving me nuts to go out and play in it but unfortunately she has no snow boots yet. I am probably going to have to go and get her some ASAP!!! Along with half of our town,.......I'll be lucky to find some in her size.
