I watched Can You Duet one night under protest. I do not like country music.
I typically don't like country music, but I like Southern Gospel and Bluegrass. The songs so far on Can You Duet haven't been beer drinking, dog ran away, wife on the barstool type country music. There was a set of twins that sang Amazing Grace who were annointed. They had the judges in tears, but they were cut last Friday.
I really like the husband (overalls) and wife...they really have something special. They are my favorite duet.

no, i dont watch that, what a waste. I seen about 2 minutes of dancin at my in laws house, they watch all of the reality shows (not in church, never have been). The clothes they were wearing on dancing were REALLY bad, they make the stuff on magazines in the checkout lanes modest. IMO i dont see how any holy ghost filled person could watch this without conviction. I'm upc, i have a tv, but am very selective with what i watch. I believe a good rule is if jesus came to your house, would you watch what your are watching, or would you be embarrased by it. if you wouldn't watchit with Jesus, why are you watching it at all? IMO

My family doesn’t watch either of the shows either. As far as Holy Ghost filled people watching the shows, I think we all get so desensitized to the world that we don’t realize what we are doing to ourselves spiritually. I know my husband made a new commitment a while back to stop watching things on tv that would cause lust. He has completely stopped watching tv shows where women are dressed provocative. You are right! I doubt folks would watch some of those shows if they could literally see Jesus sitting in the living room.
I really like Can You Duet...and the husband/wife duo is my favorite as well. Hopefully they win it! We'll see...
And I watch Dancin' as well some weeks. I guess I didn't look at it as being a bad thing to watch because of dress. Maybe I'm one of those desensitized ones....might want to pray about that.
The Amazing Race is a great show. Get to see lots of places in the world, real fast, where I'll never go until the Millinium.
Survivor has amazing geography, in slow motion, but it comes with a lot of skin too. It is easy to get desencitized to things.
