Yeshua or Yehosua or Iesous or Jesus is called God.
God is not a name.
God or god designates deity.
There are many gods but only one God.
The name of the one true God is Jesus or Yeshua or Yehoshua or Iesous.
A couple places I can think of right now where Jesus/Yeshua/Yehosua is called God are:
And we [have seen and] know [positively] that the Son of God has [actually] come to this world and has given us understanding and insight [progressively] to perceive (recognize) and come to know better and more clearly Him Who is true; and we are in Him Who is true--in His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah). This [Man] is the true God and Life eternal.
1 John 5:20 KJV
13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
Titus 2:13-14 KJV
26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
John 20:26-29
These are three different people who called Jesus God.
first, the Apostle John said that Jesus is "the true God."
second, the Apostle Paul called Him "our great God and Savior Jesus Christ."
third, the Apostle Thomas called Him "my Lord (Greek Kurios, Hebrew YHWH) and my God (Greek Theos, Hebrew Elohim)"
