I don't deny any of that. Just saying if one does not use his or her predominant race, then what is to say anyone can't claim to be any race... unless someone can prove they are a purebred?

As for the government stats I think they draw the line at 1/8th... so technically one could claim to be exclusively 8 different races, whichever is expedient to them.

BTW the 51% "Black Angus" was TIC but was an ad I heard on the radio and inspiration for this thread.

My wife has a Cherokee card and is only 1/4 Indian.

Many blacks are less than half yet claim the black community status.

Personally, I think it should be like the standard for Black Angus... 51% or more in the bloodline to make the claim...

I've known a number of "1/8th indian" who received their monthly 1500-2000 checks.....
