Re: Costume dispute!!!!

Okay, drama is all about creating impressions on the audience, and if you want to create the idea that she was an adulterous woman, e.g., at least something of a hoochie mama, then I sort of agree with the director.

However, she wasn't a prostitute--she was caught in adultery. So I agree that she probably just dressed normally. I think the look would be better achieved if she wore something that looked like an under-dress without the robes and mantles that went over their clothing (all the draping), and bare feet. (Like she was just pulled out of bed)

I think most make that role look "slutty" to make the point. The sleeves could be below her elbow and still reveal bling on her wrist. Or even if the sleeves are long if they are full they will reveal the bling when she moves her arms.
They are long and full!!! It's a very pretty shimmery light green and I don't want to cut the sleeves!!!!!

She already has a full headdress we purchased at a costume place in Austin on Monday. I am totally against that too! I made a handband with coins - she should be wearing that!!! She's Hebrew!!!

The women that holds the bowl for Pontius Pilate should have the headdress! I am very annoyed, but pretending that I am not!!

She said, "I don't want to be historically accurate."
