So Scott, are you saying that a soul that is not stepping into the image of the second Adam is not immortal? It certainly sounds like you are saying that a soul is not immortal just because it is a soul.

The (spirit) of a man whether they are a child of God or a child of Satan is immortal.

According to your theory then man has both an immortal soul and also an immortal spirit. If the immortal spirit of Yeshua went back to Elohim when he died and his immortal soul went to Hades were both of them conscious of their surroundings?
His spirit there in the majesty of the Father and his soul was down in Hades with Abraham?

Soul in Hebrew(NEPHESH) Life...
Soul in Greek(PNEUMA) Breath...
Spirit in Hebrew(RUWACH) MIND,SPIRIT...
Spirit in Greek(CHRISMA) THE SPECIAL ENDOWMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT..
Spirit in Greek(DAIMON) SPIRIT OF A BAD NATURE...
SOUL MEANS LIFE(BREATH)

When Jesus gave up his ghost(spirit) on the cross and took his last breath his SOUL(BREATH) (LIFE) left his BODY....
Since(Soul) is (Breath),one could understand if one died the BREATH is not the(SPIRIT) OF (MAN)!
You either have the Spirit of God in you or the Spirit of the Devil.
The spirit is what's immortal.Soul means (BREATH)

Yes the dust(Body) will go back to the earth...
The Spirit,THE BORN AGAIN SPIRIT will return back to God because he gave it to you when you were born of the Spirit.So only the redeemed spirit return back to the one who gave it...
Now let's say somebody that was full of the spirit of Satan,well God did not give that Spirit so therefore it will not return to God.This spirit goes to hell.
