Indeed... and this perpetuates the "need" for the latest in fashion and make up etc.

The end, thereof, is low self esteem IMO. When women are taught (by one another largely) that they are unacceptable without this or that they eventually reach a place where they would be scared senseless to be seen "as they are".

How sad.

It's interesting and I've found it to be true that women:

1. Women dress for men.
2. Dress for empowerment.
3. Dress for their man's expression and not necessarily his approval.
4. Dress for the craving of approval from a stronger personality.
5. Approval, one way or the other, will rarely change an independent mind.
