Please share. An parallel would include one that was never saved ( like the Trinnie) but had anointing.

Re: Were the Happy Goodman's Saved?
Who knows our hearts? God alone. Some may think that they know others hearts, but scripture refutes that. It also warns against judging others.

But if the Goodman's didn't experience your view of Salvation, then please stop using their music.
Just something that drives me crazy.

Were the Roman Pagan's saved? If not then stop using their days?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Now that is a good one. I'm impressed.

Re: Were the Happy Goodman's Saved?
Yes, they are saved. I saved some of the albums, cassettes, videos, DVD's and CDs, and I might even have an 8-track tape of them. So, yes, they are definitely saved.

Re: Were the Happy Goodman's Saved?
I went to church with Vestel the last couple of years before she died unexpectedly. She and Howard are buried in the Christ Church Nasvhille cemetary.
The funny thing is I really didn't like Southern Gospel music when I was a young man and into music but after she died I was watching a Gaither video honoring the Goodman's music and found myself extremely blessed and moved by the powerful songs they sang.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Had the same experience. Inherited a library of Homecoming videos, from a friend of the family, watching them now is different. They are great folks that have given their lives to lift up Jesus, our special needs son love them and can sing right along with most of them. Flawed? Yes! And aren't we all.

Re: Were the Happy Goodman's Saved?
The Rambos were for a while. Until she cut her hair and stuff. So I guess it's okay to sing the songs she wrote pre-haircut. Someone will need to find a timeline of the songs she wrote, and pinpoint when she cut her hair and we'll be good to go.
