I know this has nothing to do with the end times but I remember when they used to think we'd all be riding around in flying cars by now.

Things that have not happened- One world Leader, one world system and one world currency. I remember hearing about how the government could view you through your TV. Lol-

I remember the prototype of cars in the future from the Weekly Reader (1950's) and flying cars were on that list.
And the telephone that allowed you to see who you were talking to....guess this one did come to pass.
And of course all of the crazy gadgets from Get Smart (1960's); Some of which exist now

Sounds like one of those
really firm Day-Age Dispensationalists. The ones who believed that each "Day of Creation" represented a 1,000 year age in the history of man. Since the "7th Day" was reserved for the 1,000 year reign of Christ inn the millennial kingdom, "man" only gets a 6,000 year history.
