We run an announcement video and have put it there. Again, effective for a week or two. Our ex-pastor's wife used to text on her phone the whole way thru the morning worship service every Sunday! The elders talked to him about it and told him he needed to talk to her and tell her to stop. But it never did any good. She still kept doing it.

You should just run it on your projector system at the beginning of each and every service, like they do in the movie theaters...'Please silence your cell phones now'. If you have a slide-show, intermingle it every few frames.

They run that about 5 times before each movie at a theater, you should do the same at church where it's MUCH more important. Like Renda said, people just forget and need reminders. I know I do!

And for those that just won't listen and are repeat offenders, take 'em back behind the woodshed after service and beat the tar out of 'em!
