That, and I think most forums are less busy than they used to be due to social sites like fb. The only place I visit that's [way] busier than this one is my homeschool forum.

Re: Is AFF Over?

It's the nature of forums - - and some of our "big" talkers aren't here as much (like me).

I am kinda glad my forum is WAY more dead than this, last thing I need is more headaches. Though actually I don't mind so much if people are gripey, obnoxious and hard to live with *IF* they are clicking the ads everyday.

This place is very slow. Slower than I've ever seen it.
I found the premise of the thread to be much like someone posing the question "Has so and so stopped beating their wife?". Not accusing the person of doing the act exactly but insinuating they are by asking if they have stopped.

No big deal. I just found it amusing. Particularly in light of no great change in our activity other than normal ebbs and flows.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Is AFF Over?

It'll pick up once conferences and children/teen/family camps are over. AFF will be littered with stories, I'm sure of it.

Re: Is AFF Over?

It's spring. People are outside. Although there is snow in the forecast here and there are still tiny pockets of snow here and there. UGH! I am READY FOR SPRING!!

Re: Is AFF Over?

I keep looking at the forum to see if there's any action and it seems like the only conversations that are worthwhile or have very many posts are the ones that are dug up from the past. Is AFF going in the tank? What's the deal?
