My first thought was Fred Phelps but I resisted that urge lol. Yeah basically nobody is saved but them

Re: Those Crazy Baptists
What is so unusual about Baptists that witness? I remember witnessing on the streets of Dayton Ohio years ago when The Charity Baptist group appeared on the scene. They passed out tracts and yelled insults at us calling us "water dogs" and "tonguers". The Pastor used a cane and he waved it around threateningly at me.
Most groups that witness are Baptists. A close friend of ours started out Baptist. She said her Church preached wearing dresses. Some of them are very zealous for what they believe. A yound lady I Pastored back in the 80's met someone from a Baptist group. She invited him to our Church and he came with his Pastor and several others who challenged me to debate their doctrine. We spent a Church night "disputing and persuading" as the Apostle Paul did.
So zealous Baptists , that is for Baptist doctrine are not that unusual. After all they are the majority Evangelical Protestant faith. Most times they are zealous to get you to pray a sinners prayer, confess Jesus, believe in the Trinity and once in grace always in grace.
When it comes to being zealous for New Testament commandments perhaps the group Prax met is different than most. Baptist is far and away the majority faith in my area of Kentucky. Almost everyone I meet here is Baptist.

Re: Those Crazy Baptists
What to me would be really unusual would be to see Apostolics witnessing! I can only remember one Apostolic group right off hand that did street witnessing. The night I ran into them outside a bar where we were witnessing is the night I was convinced I needed to be baptized in Jesus name.

I've met some Wesleyans that would put UC's to shame.

Re: Those Crazy Baptists
I work with a Weslyan Methodist lady. VERY strong standards. Great people that really love God. Went to some of their revivals. Their genuine love for God and desire to please Him is evident. What they lack is the Joy that comes with the Holy Ghost. Precious people, I pray for them often.

I was raised Apostolic, and raised "witnessing". We went door-to-door, did street services, tent revivals, had sidewalk preachers, put tracts on cars, hospital ministry, jail ministry. "Witnessing" has been a large part of any Apostolic church I've ever been around.

Very good. I said "I only remember". That has been my own experience. I am glad my experience is not the norm.

What makes you think they lack joy?

Re: Those Crazy Baptists
Good grief...how can you guys read what I said and focused in on witnessing?
They were standard keepers who think the KJV is the ONLY correct translation, that THEY are the only true church going back to Paul and their implication is (otherwise why make it an issue?) is that you have to be one of the to be saved.
My question now is, what if someone says "See? This is the reason why I left the baptist. They are a cult and abusive towards women"?
