RG: I know a lot of people like that, and it does seem to be a problem the older people become. Like my husband's mother... she tells the same story to you over and over and over... LOL...

Hmmm... about how to handle it... well, you could start inviting her to church every time she starts to tell a story... or somehow make witnessing a part of your conversation with her every chance you get... either it will cause her to run the other direction when she sees you coming, or decide she wants more of whatever it is you got that makes you so happy.... and maybe you'll be a soul winner in the process... one or the other... you ought to get some results ....

One of her sons had a brain aneurism a couple of years ago and is doing good now. Her faith in God is strong. In fact, "long story short", she gave up eating chocolate for the rest of her life because she was so grateful that God touched her son. She felt to show her thankfulness to God that she could give up something that she loved.

Have to admire that.

Re: Story Tellers - A New Experience For Me

RG, I feel for you. I am a person who generally does not like to be around a lot of people, and this person certainly meets that qualification. I generally try to introduce them to someone else, and then they have some else to communicate with, and it decreases my interaction with them to a more tolerable level.
