Back in 1982 I preached a message exposing the error of Christians having their own airplanes. This was perhaps at the height of the "prosperity movement". That same night a noted Christian Evangelist was flying in his plane and it crashed with fatalities including himself.

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

If we condemn extravagant life styles and opulence in Nigeria how about here in the US among preachers and churches? If it is wrong to have private jets and tailor made clothes in Nigeria and not feed the poor, why do we support clergy here and build large opulent church buildings and campuses here instead of feeding the poor?

How much is spent for salaries and perks for the hierarchy at a certain organization with headquarters in Missouri while missionaries here in the US and other countries work to support themselves and plant churches?
