Hulu is primarily TV shows. And, Netflix is B movies.
Unless you have a Blockbuster nearby and are willing to pay $6 for a one-night rental, online rentals through iTunes, Google Play and Amazon are the only places to get all the new releases. Most cost $3.99+ for standard definition; almost double that if you want HD.

Re: Hulu

We just got Dark Shadows, starring Johnny Debb, in yesterday. We'll probably watch it tonight. Our first night we activated, I watched (streamed) Lockdown which was somewhat of a disappointment and Silent Hill: Revelation which I thought was very good, especially after the first one.

I've been re-watching The West Wing, my favorite tv show. I'd be really happy if Netflix got Duck Dynasty. My daughter uses Netflix most. LeapFrog, Chi-Rho, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and others.

I've watched a lot of movies on Netflix I never would've given a second look on the shelf. They have a lot of faith-based movies also....granted, most aren't the best in acting or script-writing, but it's nice having something without a bunch of profanity, violence or sex in it.

Blockbusters have all shut down in my area.

I do have the option to rent current movies on Comcast, but they are HIGH. I do have Apple TV, so I'll check out the iTunes rentals - haven't done that yet.

I know of one Blockbuster in my area that's still open. All the others have closed down, as did Hollywood Video and other smaller video outlets.

I forgot about cable tv and satellite tv pay per view movies.
