At the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the USSR we had a chance to pull out of Europe from a position of strength. Instead, we chose to hang around and rub it in Russia's face while at the same time making unprecedented cuts to our military, cancelling most of our missile defense capabilities, and refusing to become energy independent. Makes allot of sense to me!!

Well we gave chemical weapons to Sadam, and we gave weapons and training to a bunch of Afghans to fight against the Russians.
