"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

O Lord Help Us
Money money money money, MONEY
Some people got to have it
Hey, Hey, Hey - some people really need it
For the love of money
People don't care who they hurt or beat

Re: Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
I think the PAW IS THE OLDEST oneness org.
The Apostolic Bible Students Association (A.B.S.A.) of Indiana is the 4th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. (P.A.W.), the oldest Oneness Pentecostal organization in existence, founded in 1906, and re-organized as a Oneness Pentecostal organization in 1915. The PAW was originally headquartered at Azusa Street in Los Angeles, California, moved to Oregon, and eventually moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where it was legally incorporated and remains today.

Re: Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
Our small UPC church in Los Angeles fellowshipped with a PAW church. We could not visit their church, due to racial tension. But they could safely visit our church.
The standards were different. That was back in 1980. We ignored the differences and had wonderful fellowship.
I would venture to suggest the differences are cultural, not theological. But that may best be left to others to decide.

Re: Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
Our UPC church in Milwaukee would fellowship with the PAW church in the city. Great people, we enjoyed the times together. Though they started late and went kind of late.

Re: Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
Please no war but I have asked before and never really received a scripture answer: What scriptures do you use for mustaches or facial hair? If someone will tell me, I promise I will only acknowledge your answer and will NOT debate your answer. I have seen some hot debate on here before on other issues but I just read and not respond. Personally, I would not like a mustache or beard on my husband. Thank you. If someone wants to private message me with the scriptures, I will edit this message (if I can) and take it off. PLEASE AGAIN NO WAR JUST SCRIPTURES.

There is no discussion of facial hair in the New Testament.
