As long as referring to Jesus as brother does not indicate some underlying question to his divinity or supremacy. And, it shouldn't...any more than applying the term Son of God questions his identity as the Everlasting Father. The term brother here indicates a comradeship and status as a friend. After all, it was Jesus himself that chose to lower himself to become a man so that he would be a brother to humanity.

He is a brother to humanity through the incarnation. As long as we do not see ourselves as his equal. I would not go around referring to Jesus as brother on a daily basis. His disciples called him Master.

I really enjoyed the songs your wife wrote, what a beautiful voice and heart for the Lord she has! I wish the both of you well in trying to get her a CD made, she is very easy to listen to! Has she ever wrote or sang any scripture songs? Her singing style would go well paired with songs from the Psalms, I think.

Exactly... as long as referring to Jesus as brother does not take into question his divinity, and head over us, I have no problem with it, although it is not something I would go around saying, Brother Jesus....

Because of my wife's religious background I have heard this 'brother Jesus' term thrown around quite a bit.

Mormons believe that Jesus is our brother, they also believe he had a wife and that he is going to fertilize his home planet with people.

And we to when we die and graduate we will have our own designated planets where we can have our own children there.

These terms of relationship are used to describe the kind of closeness as of a family member, a brother a sister a mother or a father.
