Re: Calling on the Name of Jesus (at baptism)

Please read my post. I said it is non apostolic and neo cultish nonsense to claim that non Hebrew speaking people OUGHT to use Yeshua. Which is what has been claimed: the "real" name is Yeshua, Jesus/Iesous is a "bad transliteration", etc.

The apostles never taught such a thing, God never intended such a thing, and the supporters of this doctrine have zero scripture to stand on - which means the sacred namers are following personal preference over Bible... which is not apostolic... and would like to see others do so as well.

What other made up doctrines "ought" we to follow?

So, the New Testamnent is a Hellenized train wreck and has to be pieced back together in Hebrew? Wow. Maybe the Apostles taught baptism for the dead, maybe the Apostles taught praying to the dead, maybe the Apostles taught reincarnation, maybe the Apostles taught counting prayer beads, maybe the Apostles taught a Trinity, maybe the Apostles taught suicide salvation, we just don't have "ANY" record for it.

Maybe as Paul was speaking Aramaic he used Jesus' Hellenized name.

Wasn't this HELLENIZED Judean part of Judean leadership?
Any of the Hebrewists care to explain why the Judean had a exclusive Ancient Greek name?

you are using the same argument that non-Sabbath keepers use to disregard the Holy Sabbath.

Re: Calling on the Name of Jesus (at baptism)

Is Hadassah in the OT? Is Yeshua in the NT?
