Re: All Trinitarians are Lost!!!!!!!!!!!
somehow I think the above post is going to make no one happy, as it explains Jesus as our rest, but then says that is why we cease from works . . .

Jesus states:
Matthew 5:18
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Guess what... the Ten Commandments are part of our sanctification... including the Fourth Commandment.
Amazing... people will rant about dress codes and hairdos... but rash the Ten Commandments by purposefully arguing against the Fourth Commandment.
I guess to most "Christians"... the Ten Commandments are just suggestions?

Re: All Trinitarians are Lost!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh... here's a good one!
Acts 20:7
And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. Notice... on the first day of the week when the church gathered to break bread (Lord's Supper), Paul preached to them until midnight. What many forget is that they counted their day as beginning at sundown. If Paul preached until midnight on the first day of the week... what day on our calendar did they meet??? Saturday night. Because Sundown Saturday night would begin the first day of the week. Then Paul preached until midnight.
If they met on Sunday night by our calendar... the text would say they met on the SECOND day of the week.
Excellent Saturday worship text!
Praise God!

Re: All Trinitarians are Lost!!!!!!!!!!!
Bro. Epley...
We know we are not saved by keeping the Ten Commandments. Do you believe in being sanctified by keeping the Ten Commandments?
1 John 3:24
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. 1 John 5:2
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

Re: All Trinitarians are Lost!!!!!!!!!!!
I find it interesting that the Fourth Commandment is the only commandment wherein God calls us to "remember"...
Exodus 20:8-11 (ESV)
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. The implication is that of all the commandments listed in the Ten Commandments... The Fourth Commandment is the one God knows is the most likely to be forgotten and cast to the wayside.
Bro. Epley... have you forgotten the Sabbath of the Lord and it's delights???

Interesting is that He did not say "remember to have church on this day", Do you have church on the Sabbath Day?
What are it's delights? I don't see any mention of a Delight in this verse

- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

Isaiah 58:13 "If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:"
As a Sabbath Apostolic I can testify that I call the Sabbath a delight, and Holy of the Lord. and I honor God by keeping the day he rested.
I am not ashamed of the Sabbath for I do find it a delight

Re: All Trinitarians are Lost!!!!!!!!!!!
I am as confused by Christians who do not appreciate the Sabbath as I am by unbelievers who can not accept the gift of salvation. Why would one turn down a gift from God? The very moment I studied it out I knew it was for me. I had been living in the rat race in a way few people do. It had literally been years since I had done anything that most people would consider recreation. What a joy to know that God has made provision for overachievers like me!
This beautiful day of rest and peace at the end of the week, just when our bodies and minds are nearly spent is better than you can imagine until you try it. For anyone who has never observed the Sabbath I hope you will prayerfully consider incorporating it into your life as something that is both for the good of man and is pleasing to God.
What you will find is refreshing of the spirit, rejuvenating the body, binding the family unit, time for sincere friendships, and a stronger relationship with God as you appreciate Him one more time for knowing your every need before you even ask or think.
As a relatively new Sabbath keeper I am sometimes still forced to work as I don't have everything perfectly in place yet... but I believe that what we have started is blessed by God and will continue to improve our lives as we are faithful.
