Sister, are you sure people who post this sort of garbage really want help?
Or are they just stirring up strife and trying to garner sympathy?
I think it's the latter.
Did this poster contact the church board? Did she share the situation with people who could actually make a difference?
How is posting this story here gonna help her?

You must not have read all of my post - I did say if this is someone that is just wallowing then let that be between them and God. I am not a preacher bashor - Most of the men and some women in my family are preachers/pastors - some I am sure you probably know because they are spread from Maine to Spain and they are wonderful, good people. But I also am not blind to the fact that people can get hurt deeply by pastors I have a lot of family members in a church that are being hurt almost every day by their pastor and call me constantly about it and although I feel a lot of the things that pastor has done is way out of line I keep it to myself when talking to them and just tell them to keep a good attitude and pray every day for the situation and God always works it out if they keep the right spirit. I am all for supporting ministry but if someone needs to talk about something they are going through then they should be able to get on a forum and talk about it without getting bashed and like i said if you think they are wallowing - let God deal with them.

Those UC preachers have a way of shutting down good threads...I am sure it is because they spend lots of time in prayer for all the wounded and hurting folks on this forum

Isn't that the truth? Those UC guys ought to be banned because they hate people and have no compassion whatsoever. I agree. Start a petition.

But wait, if you shoot all of the pastors whatever will folks do that live for the next abuse, wound, criticism, etc? They will go stark raving mad without their regular fix.
There is a very weird view afoot that says that hurting people live to be criticized. I think that it is easier for some to believe that hurting people WANT to hurt, that way things don't have to be faced. There might be a few weirdos in the world that are sadomasochists, but I think generally they are few. On the other hand, there are a lot of ostriches.

We need pastors and we need the ministry that is a God ordained calling however there are Spiritual abusive pastors and Pastors who genuinely care about the spiritual well-being of the church,so we don't need to throw the baby out with the bath water.

It used to be really hilarious to me when I would point out wrongs in the church while we were still pastoring and people would call me a preacher basher. LOL! Kind of hard to be a preacher basher when you ARE one. Of course, now that we resigned, people just pretend I have no experience in the area.

It is a weird view and not one that I espouse. But let's face it, internet Forums really are not the place to air a lot of things that get aired.
Hurts are real. Only an idiot would deny that people have feelings and that those feelings do get hurt and damaged. I have yet to find one person on any Forum who says differently.
And we do know that hurting people hurt people. Perhaps some should take a step back when they have been hurt and asked themselve sif possibly the person that just hurt them did so because they were hurting? I can honestly say I have yet to see any of the "Healing and Comfort" crowd espouse that particlar line of thought. And lest we forget the words in red letter "70 times 7..." Just a thought.
I am all for helping people heal (as hard as that is for some of you to believe.) But please do not ask me to be incredibly sensitive to total strangers airing one side of the event and expect for everyone to lather them with the Balm of Gilead.
