The first years of the eighties were spent going to high school, going to state in music vocals a few times, choir president, FHA vice president, track, met my future husband....going to college being wild as wild can be, partying it up....then the next half of the eighties, getting the Holy Ghost, moving out of state, getting married, getting into the UPC, and having a baby.

The 80's... I loved the 80's.. What a fun decade.. lots of events took place in the 80's.

I was a teen in most of the 80's.. spent time driving all over to conferences, camps, rally's... good thing I drove a small car.

I had a 1981 Jetta VW like this one only it was a gold champaign color.. I hated the color as a 16 year old in 1983.... now I look back and think how ungrateful I was. whining about colors... *sigh* It had a sunroof and was a diesel... got excellent gas mileage (practical side of me coming out since I am now 40..lol )

I had big hair... including the poofy stuff in front... although I refused to wear a mohawk type poof that so many of the girls wore. I looked like this

Had an awesome time being a teenager, graduated from High School in 1985.. never went on to college though (big regret)... worked in politics.. loved every min of it.

Then I got Married in Feb 1989...
fuzzy pic because it is a picture of a picture by cell phone.

Then 3 months later got pregnant with my beautiful daugher Elaine... who now loves all the 80's stuff.. and thinks it is just the coolest.

The 80's... what great memories I had of good years of my life.

Sis Lisa, tell those girls the Hoover family says hello! I just can't believe how they are growing up!

PS Did you ever get the leak in your roof fixed???? I thought about that several times and wished I were closer to you so I could take care of it for you!
