Re: Titus2woman

Your family burial plan is really a blessing T2W - what a great way to keep all your family members together even in death, and to have a plan before that time comes too... death is so hard to deal with, especially trying to make all those decisions.

Mourning is for those who are left, and a time of grieving is so necessary for those still alive, and dealing with the loss of a loved one. I'm sure your mother wouldn't mind a memorial service... she was probably thinking of the $$$ and wouldn't mind a bit that you had a service in her honor to grieve and remember her by.

It will not be an official cemetery. The first one in was my horse when he passed suddenly. We also have three family dogs out there. I imagine most folks would not want to be planted next to Muttly but it suites me fine.

Hey, if I ended up there, it could be truly said that I ended up going to the dogs! (Hope that was appropriate humor considering the topic)

I do agree that I think this is a good thing that you are doing. The question will be if the government will allow it (they seem to have issues with bodies buried on private property). However this being Texas, I really do not see any problems occurring from this.

Yeah... Texas is pretty home funeral and burial friendly as long as one is in an unrestricted area of the county.

I hope things are going as well as can be expected for you, my friend. You and your family are in my prayers.

Which makes me sound like a fussy baby... So when her ashes come back I think we may just have a service against her wishes... I mean what can she really do to us, right? (OK, maybe death humor is not for everyone )

I missed you guys too
Might get your toes pulled at night...
