Re: A Simple Question

Awesome post Jason. The cry of your heart was poured out into this post... and I agree with Sis. Renee too... may the Lord stir up the hearts of those who can teach and preach this message so that it resonates across this country. We don't need religion, we need the power and authority of Jesus working in our lives, transforming us from the sinful creatures we are into His likeness and image. Sure, there are failures, and set backs, but there is an overcoming walk with Jesus is available to us.

I say... PREACH IT Bro. Jason!

Re: A Simple Question

I'm going to go out on a limb here.
I think you are in fellowship with people who don't share your depth of burden or belief system and therefore feel like a fish out of water.
I believe that if you seek God He will guide and direct you into fellowship with like minded people and you won't feel like you are swimming against the stream anymore, but rather that you are flowing in the Spirit.

I second the motion, and I'll climb out there on the limb with you

Amanah, are you talking to me or Jason?

It is probably true in my case.

I was sharing my thoughts with Jason, as I have been through similar turmoil and can relate to what he is going through.

Re: A Simple Question

This should be our focus ! Good thoughts to ponder.

MD, you've said crazy things on this Forum and have received sharp criticism for it. You fail to critique my posts with valid study and you just throw out posts like this to try and make me look bad, all because the Truth is staring you in the face.

I want you to show this Forum one place where I have told a lie. Just one!

If I'm made after the image of the Creator of all ages, God has placed within me and every other human being the desire to know the Truth via the FACTS, not your idea that dives into Spectral realms that no one can touch or prove.

Get out of the Dark Ages, where innocent people were murdered because they disagreed with the Church.

3)I don't care about denominations, all denominations do are divide God's people, one of the reasons I left the UPC is they thought they were the only ones saved. I believe there are saved people who attend UPC, AoG, COGIC, Methodist, Baptist, Church of Christ, Nazarene, Prebyterian churches, etc. I also believe there are a lot of unconverted people who attened churches, and also that there are many denominations that have been over run by theological liberalism and outright apostacy. However, neither here, nor anwhere in my 3,000 plus AFF posts will you find me say I have a special relationship with God others don't have, or people in various Christian denomination cannot have. I'm not some weirdo who thinks I'm one of the few saved or someone special to God, I'm a just someone who believes that God is much more powerful than the church presents Him, and I think its tragic that the gospel isn't preached with the power that is inherit within and

4)I don't say your deceived because you disagree with me, I don't believe I'm the standard of truth, nor the authority. I also believe a lot of people who disagree with me will be saved (for example Trinitarians, Calvinists, preterists) But the Bible does make those claims and you reject them, so therefore in the words of Jesus, you have one who judges you, even His Word. How you stand up, I don't know, that's between you and God, but based on some of the things I've seen you write on here the last couple of years, if I were you, I'd definitely find my way back to God, rather than the mixture of new age secular humanist pseudo universalism you seem to have adopted.
You know, JB, you come back here and try to smooth over your last post where you give me a Scripture that is a direct insult and a common ploy of those who have no other option. When Religious fanatics are challenged and cornered, Eternal mud is always thrown.

Many believe that Paul was speaking to the Church when he wrote these words and that he was referring to those who were like him before his Damascus experience. Paul was a man of the "Letter" before his conversion, and his zeal for the cause had blinded him with deceit. He stood there, as Stephen was stoned to death by the Religious. Then the Religious gnawed upon this innocent man with their teeth.

Later, Paul is on the road of death and destruction for the purpose of his Faith, only to discover he was absolutely wrong. Then he is on the run, where the Religious seek him out to destroy him because he was a "Defector". His very own ended up killing him, all because he rebuked them for wanting to remain in the bondage of the "Law".

This is also supported by the rebukes of Jesus, when he told the Scribes and Pharisees that they were blind hypocrites, despite their Scriptural intelligence and Religious order. People who pull God into their corner, with their limited understanding and human weakness, they will end up defending the dogma to the bitter end, even when the light reveals that they are wretched and evil, just like everyone else.

God had to knock Paul off of his horse to wake him up from the fantasy of his Religion.

Strawman argument not even worth answering.

He is NOT a fish out of water. The waters are a little murky. Soon he is going to find the current and be pushed into...

Jason, pray that the Lord sends you a helper, someone that you can mentor.
