If you read Walt Whitney and "Obamacarefacts.com" you don't believe any "real" jobs are being affected. In fact, under the "full list of Obamacare taxes" Walt claims 98% of people won't be affected by things like the 2.3% medical device tax, the BCBS tax hike, the tax on Brand name drugs or health insurers.
Darden Restaurants running an experiment to see what impact of Obamacare will be.

Under a provision of the Affordable Care Act that takes effect in 2014, large companies must offer health care to employees who work 30 hours or more in week. If they don't do so, companies can be fined up to $3,000 for each employee who turns to an insurance exchange for coverage.
Under its experiment, Darden is limiting many employees' hours to 28 and will evaluate the success for expanding to more markets, the Sentinel said.

Kroger grocery stores will be limiting workers to 28 hours in order to keep from being penalized by Obamacare.
Here are some other "real" jobs being affected, just in the medical device industry:
Quote:
Boston Scientific anticipates $100 million in additional taxes next year, with layoffs to follow. Medtronic estimates a $175 million loss in 2013 and will cut 1,000 workers. Stryker plans 1,170 job cuts.
Other medical manufacturers will follow: Smith & Nephew, with 770 layoffs; Abbott Labs, 700; Covidien, 595; Kinetic Concepts, 427; St. Jude Medical, 300; Welch Allyn 275; and Hill Rom, 200.

Last year after the election, I had a long list of medical device manufacturers which announced layoffs due to Obamacare, specifically the 2.3% sales tax it imposes. Unfortunately, I scrubbed my FB account of all the political stuff and didn't keep the links I compiled to the information. There were far more, including the one's above.
This is where you, Walt Whitney and "Obamacarefacts" either don't get it or just blatantly ignore it.
Ambiomed is one such medical device manufacturer. They sold $126 million dollars in devices last year, but only had a profit of $1.5 million. Had the 2.3% tax been in place last year, they would have had to not only forfeit their profit of $1.5 million, but they would have had to pay an additional $1.4 million in taxes.
Quote:
it took Massachusetts-based Abiomed 30 years to show a profit building specialized heart pumps. During that time, the company has grown from 10 to 440 employees, but the company risks being back in the red if the excise tax goes into effect Jan 1, 2013, as planned.
Abiomed reported about $1.5 million in profit on the $126 million in sales the company realized during fiscal 2012. Had the medical device tax been in effect then, the company would have had to turn in every penny of its profits, plus another $1.4 million or so.
“None of this was allocated three years ago when we created a strategic plan to become profitable,” CEO Mike Minogue told the House Committee on Small Business last week.
Minogue testified the amount Abiomed will pay for the excise tax is the equivalent of 15 percent of the company’s research and development budget, 10 percent of its employee head count, or almost double what it spends on health care for hundreds of employees.
“This tax will affect jobs. It will mix health care reform with tax policy and it will be extra detrimental to companies that are not yet profitable and need every dollar to survive,” he said.

"Real" jobs are being affected. "Real" people are losing their jobs because of obamacare, regardless of what you and Walt Whitney claim.
