You can go to www.leeuniversity.edu to visit the Lee website. They are Church of God but i've only had doctrinal issues in a few of my classes. I did get thrown out of an online discussion forum because I said that the evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost was speaking in tongues and that you had to have the Holy Ghost to go to Heaven. Other than that it hasn't been that bad and I did end up with an "A" in that class so all is well. The CAPS program is great for people that don't want to relocate.
I would also recommend AST before anything else for a BA degree. I would have done this first but the program didn't exist until this year. As far as i'm concerned the teachers at AST are the best in the world and are absolutely apostolic. You can't get any better that taking Greek with Bro French and Theology with Bro Wilson. Their school is worth checking out.

AST looks interesting... unfortunately a big part of my choice (if I decide to do this) would be who takes my transfer credits the best... I'm ok with doing extra credits, but if I only get, say, 48 credits transfered, I'll find someplace that takes more... I don't wanna have to go to college for 3 more years...

Where are your credits from? I think most schools will take you as long as you complete at lease 50% of your degree there. There are some school that only require you to take 25% of your credits there as long as you complete your upper level major classes as the school. I transfered several credits into the Lee Program and never had a problem with it at all.

found what I was looking for... you have to get half your credits from AST... but I'm thinking that is going to be normal...
so all my gen. ed. will be knocked out (I went to a lib. arts college) and then either electives or some of the earlier classes will get credit from my religious studies classes here (OT intro, NT intro, 2 Christian History classes, Intro to Religions/World Religions, Religions in the US)...
I hate this... I don't wanna go to school anymore...

I, well, am like 1 class short of a degree in Computer Science from a liuberal arts school here in WI (Carroll College if you want specifics)...
but I hate computer science...
and I'm not sure I can pass the class I have left (Capstone project) seeing as how I don't know how to actually do pretty much anything with computers (programming and such)... lol

If you transfered half your credits to AST then you're looking at 2 years of college left. It's not so bad though since it's done online. You don't have to relocate, you make your own schedule, and you can work and go to school at the same time.
Online education is a huge benefit for people. At one point last year I was working full time (40 hours a week), working part time (14 hours a week), teaching drum lessons in my music studio (3 nights a week), preaching once a week, teaching a youth class once a week, spending time with my wife, and taking 12 credit hours online. I could not have done this had it not been for online college. I just knew I had to suck it up until I was done. It was worth it.

yeah, that's what I'm thinking... and if they offer summer classes maybe I can get it done in 2 years and only take 12 credits a semester (then 8 over 2 summers) and I'll be done... although they do 3 credit hour classes, so it'd probably be 12, 12, 9, 12, 12, 6? I don't know, something... lol
So now my two problems are:
1. 2 more years? More school? ugh... }=o( (and $$? holy cow was my stuff here a waste of money)
2. what if this isn't right? (have I mentioned actually stepping out and following what I feel is God's call is the scariest thing in the whole world? Its like I'm scared of not doing it and having been suppose to do it... but the fear of doing it and not suppose to be doing it is so much greater, at least for me...)

I am looking more for a school that has a solid reputation in the theology community, and generally conservative. I considered USGT, but they are "under development".
Truimphant1, I am very familiar with ORU, but would be very hesitant considering Oral Robert's sketchy history, his visions, and his directives from God (i.e. getting direction from "God" to build the multimillion dollar "city of Faith", and then later filing bankruptcy.) ORU would be the most convenient for me, but I am really a little apprehensive about it. How much is it per credit hour? (if you don't mind me asking, if so, I'll call them and find out). Where do you attend church in Tulsa? Jenks?

I think the outside perception of ORU has been affected negatively (especially in the past) because of things in the Oral Roberts Ministry "sketchy history"...some of which is certainly true...like the building of the hospital didn't work out like he hoped...but now the school enjoys a good reputation, even in the community, and has a student enrollment double that of the University of Tulsa...which would be ORU's private college rival in the region...
Overall I have found that ORU is very balanced and none of that goofy stuff is evident on campus or among the faculty...matter of fact the professors that I have had the privelege of meeting are all great and very balanced...we have also had several young people from our church go there and have found their experience to be worthwhile..and a very good educational experience.
It is interesting to note that the "defunct hospital" made the news when it was driving the school in the ground as Oral Robert's "big blunder from God"...but it never makes the news now that it is a very successful business center and is turning a healthy profit for the school by renting enough of the floors to various businesses (from specialty hospitals and surgery centers to law firms, book publishers, and radio stations).....I guess Oral didn't miss the mark by too far...:sshhh
As far as the price goes I will pm you on that....
Where do I go to church? I pastor Triumph Worship Center in Glenpool/Mounds Ok...just south of Tulsa on Hwy 75...
