Then why has God never miraculously (instantaneously) cured someone of obesity?
Being overweight is not always unhealthy....your blood pressure, cholesterol, etc is what determines your health...
There are many reasons for someone to be overweight....gluttony being one of them....I have seen some people who stuff themselfs.....they are gluttonous, then there are those that are older, on medication, etc....you can not lump everyone into the same bag here......

An overweight body isn't healthy. Your body stores fat to put the toxins in, so the toxins won't damage the rest of the body. In most other countries very few people are overweight. A healthy body doesn't carry excess weight.

That is partly what prompted me to start this post... since I am overseas right now.
I think people are quick to get defensive about their own weight, or those in their family...
but I am using the same mentality which the church taught me about religion... you can never do enough, and there is always something else you could be doing to be better. And again, I am not saying this as some guy who is the epitome of health and fitness... because I am FAR from that.
If someone weighs 400 pounds, and is still drinking regular soda (and hasn't switched either to diet or to plain water), then there is still something they can do to lose weight... regardless of any medical conditions that they might have.

AND if someone is still drinking diet soda on a regular basis, there is still something they can do to improve their health - switch to WATER!

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945

Neither, but I do a lot of research in the nutrition area. I was just at a nutrition seminar the other night that had everyone sitting on their sitting wishing for more when it was over.
