I truly believe with all of my heart that an agenda that surpresses critical and reasoned thinking is very, very dangerous, and will ultimately lead to much heartache.
The church cannot survive and grow with a borg mentality that devalues individual expression and contribution. It is simply not possible. I categorically reject the notion that we must be in agreement in every application of holiness.
I have been praying that God will remove the scales from the eyes of every person who is currently unable to see that there are some among us that have an agenda that is crushing and cruel. These same people have a desire to build their own kingdom instead of God's.
These are sincere thoughts devoid of any animosity and anger. I am truly, truly concerned.

As their physical bodies might be needed for some specific task (like fighting the good guys trying to defeat them) they would unplug from the collective and do whatever they needed to do. However at all times they were still connected to the collective through their mind.
Bottom line is that no individuality or independent thought was allowed. They felt that their existance as a collective was superior to individiual thinking. They were a formidable force that overwhelmed most they came in contact with.
Their determination was revealed in their mantra "Resistance is futile! You will be assimilated!".

The borg operates something like a hive. There are no individuals, only mindless, thoughtless, drones. They only do what they are preprogrammed to do. They are not capable of joy or individual expression. They survive only to do the bidding of the hive's Queen.
This is how I see many Apostolics today.
Incapable of any original thought. Only acting in response to what they are preprogrammed to do. The trouble is some of the things we are programmed to do are downright foolish, bordering on heretical.
God give us some men and women who are Apostolic originals!

I will rail against it at every opportunity. This is not about good holy men of God who take stands based on biblical principle. This is about hijackers.

Considering the decisions that will be made this week, I thought I would bring this up for discussion again.

Is being cantankerous an Apostolic attribute? Or would that be contrary to having Peace?

But Elder, will hardcore decisions be made this week?! Issues have been discussed here, there and everywhere year after year, and we have been fearing the dreaded split, only to have things 'tabled' for another time.
What makes us think this year will be any different?!
