Sure. Just like we were only getting the stuff to feed to our pigs.

Re: How to Save Money
Here's a couple of ideas on how to save on extra things:
1. Carry along individual packets of Crystal light or other flavors and just order water when you go out. This works fine at fast food restaurants. I've also taken one of those "fresh lemon" brand plastic shaped lemons in my purse, and ordered water in a restaurant and squeezed that in my drink and then added sugar. Well, I know that's cheap but when you consider how fast drinks add up with a family--it saves! I know, I know--really smart people just order water--but sometimes a girl wants a lovely beverage at a low cost!
2. You can get a "kids" hot chocolate at Starbuck's for about $1.20 or so--and it's really good. It's a great treat for me and my kids!
3. I keep preaching to myself "less is more." I'm trying to live it! Less things--richer relationships and experiences is my goal!
4. When things get really tight I cut my lotion and toothpaste containers open to get everything out.

Generally, if you ask for lemon wedges, restaurants will give them to you at no charge. Sometimes I do this and make lemonade! But, if you want other flavors, then yes, those packets will work wonders!

I think less often really is more!

I have been using free sample toothpaste for months. FatWallet.com has tons of free stuff you can get. They give away so many free samples that I haven't had to crack open a tube for myself in a LONG time! (My other family memebers have the regular kind though....)

Re: How to Save Money
In colder weather, run a humidifier. This will not only help you save money by making the house feel warmer but it will help your health too!

Re: How to Save Money
ILG, I made your homemade granola today. Yum!!! I added some Huggables candies (I would have added M&M's, but because of Keith's peanut allergy we can't have those here). They added alot!
They do not stick together very well to make into bar form, but still it's delicious. Thanks for posting the recipe.

Buy checks through the mail rather than at your bank.
