I guess we just need to commission a team of preachers to approve certain songs for use... while we are at it, we can have them approve foods we can eat, etc. or would that not be kosher?

Nope. We don't need a break. We need separation and holiness. I have said it once, I will say it again. The pagan trinity god is not our God, and so long as they deny the Fatherhood of Jesus Christ, their Jesus is not my Jesus.

Even if some orgs did do so, the membership of this forum would not abide by the decisions. They are too hard hearted. They want to be as those who have tried to destroy us for the past 2000 years.

What kind of music does your church use for services? Ours is a mix.Myself
I prefer Black Gospel and Country like the McGruters.I love the brass section
as well. When we lived in Houston I always loved how at Life Tabernacle
the brass band played during the offering.

Strange........*Ahem*....did not have a problem starting an attack against the old familiar spirit that spoke lies thru Bro. Morton.

I see that some of you are beginning to see what I have been talking about. Good going. There is hope yet.

I still believe in the original. I still believe in the OTW...the old time way. I'm apostolic to the core. I believe in truth without compromise. Yet, I want to keep a Christ-like spirit in all that I say and do, even if there are sharp words of correction sometimes involved.

I did not hear the "Holy, Holy, Holy" song at camp. If I had, I would not have joined in to sing it. I don't like the spirit involved in that song, regardless of what the words are.

I very often sing songs that are not entirelly correct doctrinally such as "I'll Fly Away," because the sound expresses spiritual affections that speaks from my spiritual mind. I'll sing it with much gusto along with others who have the same spiritial affections in seeing their Lord, face to face. In this case, it is not the words, but the spirit of the sound. Angels understand sounds of affections whether it be Death Metal or the old blood songs the old timers cherished. They are understood in the spirit world for exactly what they express. You can put Amazing grace to Death Metal music. The angels would understand the sound of the music rather than the words of Amazing Grace.

Does anyone really understand what I am talking about...does anyone???

Some churches have actually changed the words to "How Great is Our God," to reflect the "oneness" position.

One group sang it as, "Father, Spirit, Son; All these three are One."

Another sang it as, "The God we serve is One; Father, Spirit, Son."

That way it's "OPC" (Oneness Pentecostally Correct)

There is a good man in our church, a man who works in the woods. His family is well known, including his son who is a Youth Pres in the UPCI. They have been godly folks for a looong time. Recently, while in the woods, the tree he was working on fell the wrong way and fell on him. So, without feelings in his arms, through much pain, he climbed back on his tractor, made his way to safety, called for help and was rushed to the hospital...he did this WITH A BROKEN NECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While in the hospital going through much suffering and everything that comes with a broken neck...in the middle of the night he heard wonderful music. He recognized the song from church. Yes, this one being discussed. It ministered to him and he began thanking and worshipping The Great God who stands age to age. It brought him through a very dark night. The next day he inquired about this music that ministered to him and came to find out by the nurses (many from our church work there) that NO music was playing! He testified later in church about this and how God had delivered him from this injury. It's a good thing he wasn't too concerned about it's author...he could have missed his blessing.
I have since written the author of the song about this incident, he was thankful for the GOOD REPORT!
