It matters not whether one is "ultra-con" or "liberal" if one still worries about what to do (or not to do) that is listed out and lived by others (or ourselves) then we are still legalistic because we are still ticking off the check boxes. Some check them with a "They can do", others check 'em with a "They can't do".
This is an incredible post, THANK YOU!!!

This is what has troubled me for so long, I have very close friends and relatives who have left "legalism" and I have seen such incredible bitterness and ugliness out of them, and I have seen the same spirit from most of the "ultra-cons" that I know.

Meanwhile, I am very much what I consider "on-the-fence" about a lot of things, and I am looking at both sides of the coin and it is truly heartbreaking. I don't feel compelled or drawn to that mindset, and IMO, both sides are equally wrong. For what that is worth.

I honestly was not bitter and never have been. I will honestly say that I did not feel cheated either. I felt remorse for having been so harsh and judgemental towards people. But I am thankful for my past. Because without my past I would have no future. My past has taught me about the HG, but not taught me everything. I am glad from where I came and excited about where I am going.

On another note did anyone look at the captions on the shirts from that site? Some are not nice, but the 'where do you keep the anointing oil' one is cute, but not offensive.

Have you read the opening article by the creator of the site? They reject speaking in tongues....the Pentecostal experience.

Re: Another Anti-Pentecostalism Website

I read through a few of their "myths". Some of them are scare tactics, but they seem to not believe that anything can happen supernaturally. Too bad for them. I'm so glad that my God still works miracles.

It's like standing in the rain, you can only "enjoy" so much.
