A church in New Mexico told their congregation to wait until after church to set their clocks ahead!

We had one couple walk in at 10:45 this morning--the pastor was already preaching. It was pretty funny, because I'm sure they thought they were early, and then saw all the cars....

Went to bed at the new time (11:30) and slept until 10:30! Probably got toooo much sleep.
I wish we could sleep in like that on the Sunday after springing forward. Unfortunately, church still starts far too early for my blood. And we both had things we had to do today for it. so, that meant getting there even earlier! Boohoo. I'm am tuckered out right now. And now we have to go back at 5:30 to get ready for evening service. Geesh.

We forgot to set our clocks back, one Fall. We were almost always late for church, but this time, for some reason, we were on time. Then we realized, we were just over an hour early! So, what did we do with the extra time? Went out for breakfast and got to church late, anyway!

My Get-Up-And-Go Has Got Up and Went
Old age is golden, or so I’ve heard said,
But sometimes I wonder, as I crawl into bed, With my ears in a drawer, my teeth in a cup,
My eyes on the table until I wake up.
As sleep dims my vision, I say to myself:
Is there anything else I should lay on the shelf?
But, though nations are warring, and Congress is vexed,
We’ll still stick around to see what happens next!
How do I know my youth is all spent?
My get-up-and-go has got up and went!
But, in spite of it all, I’m able to grin
And think of the places my getup has been!
When I was young, my slippers were red;
I could kick up my heels right over my head.
When I was older my slippers were blue,
But still I could dance the whole night through.
Now I am older, my slippers are black.
I huff to the store and puff my way back.
But never you laugh; I don’t mind at all:
I’d rather be huffing than not puff at all!
How do I know my youth is all spent?
My get-up-and-go has got up and went!
But, in spite of it all, I’m able to grin
And think of the places my getup has been!
I get up each morning and dust off my wits,
Open the paper, and read the Obits.
If I’m not there, I know I’m not dead,
So I eat a good breakfast and go back to bed!
How do I know my youth is all spent?
My get-up-and-go has got up and went!
But, in spite of it all, I’m able to grin
And think of the places my getup has been!

Renda, as an Admin you should "Admin" Ron for causing us to have thoughts like this. He started it! I would never have thought of you doing such a thing, (taking your teeth out), before going to bed! It's his fault. I think he's been taking lessons from "NOW!"
By the way, speaking of teeth and partials.... mine don't fit my dog too good. I know. I caught him with them in his mouth the other day. He did look good, though!
