I Told You Back In 2008---You Wouldn't Listen
Many Obama supporters on here back in '08 were giving all of their reasons why we needed to have a president like Barak Obama. He was a young, vibrant, telegenic politician who gave many Americans a sense of hope. To many of us there was enough in his history, his statements, his associations and his campaign that we warned those of you who voted for BO or those who sat out the election or voted third party that four years of Obama would do severe damage to this nation that it would not be worth itto have him elected. Some of you said, "It took a Jimmy Carter to give us Ronald Reagan." Really foolish logic.
For the first time in American history, a hundred year's worth of AAACredit rating, a rating that endured WWI, the stock market crash in 1929, the Great Depression, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, 9/11, we have been downgraded to AA+. The blame for this must be laid at BO's feet.
There hasn't been a budget submitted in two years. The president had all year to lead the way on the debt ceiling issue and refused to submit a formal plan. All we got from him was lectures and calling on the Congress to do something about it. Standard and Poor warned Washington that unless $4 trillion in spending cuts over the next 10 years was agreed to, our rating would be at risk. Obama would barely agree to $2.3 trillion.
He is the POTUS. He is the most powerful and influential man on the planet. He was noticably on the sidelines when it came to this issue. He came out this week blaming Bush, the Japanese earthquake & tsunami, etc. No leadership, only blame.
You realize that the "cuts" are actually cuts in the growth of spending not real cuts like you and I consider cuts in our spending. This situation is a mess. If you still are blindly supporting Obama, if you plan to vote for him in 2012, I guess if Obama were caught with an intern in the Oval Office you wouldn't believe it even if she could produce a blue dress...
Barak Obama must NOT get reelected! We cannot afford four more years of his presidency.
