Re: Do OPs have a grace problem?
I preach on grace and the blood often. I also hear it preached often in UPC churches.

In your sermons, how is grace and the blood related to redemption and salvation?

Re: Do OPs have a grace problem?
Maybe this is why people claim they dont hear sermons on grace? They wouldn't know one if they heard it?
Anyone want to say what they think "grace" is?
It certainly is an important truth. If you know that you dont know a good place to start learning might be posts 11, 12, 30, 31.

Ok would you like to elaborate? Is the unmerited favor something that carries all the way through your walk? Is it specifically focused on how one gets saved initially?
Can man do things that please God and draw down his favor?
The word "charis" does not mean unmerited favor. It means "favor". To add "unmerited" is a theological concept rather than the meaning of the word.

Grace unto Salvation. Grace is the movement of God through the Holy Ghost that convicts a sinner.
My example is in the Book Of Acts when Peter preached the sermon of all sermons and those devout Jews had their hearts pricked by the Grace of God through the Holy Spirit.
In which the responded with The age old question that all sinners ask "What must we do?"

Seems that some think that grace is 'gettin' the Holy Ghost, having a man intone certain words over you while you're being baptized and living various and sundry standards. Where's the grace? Where's the blood of the Lamb in that teaching?

Yes. All the time. Third gen Apostolic Pentecostal. Sixty-one years old.
SO, now YOU tell me...
Why do y'all always make an issue out of this?
Just because YOU can't remember one message taught does not mean it is never taught.
Perhaps it is as someone said in another post...
"They wouldn't know one if they heard it?"

I am a listener and have been in church for a long without remembering one sermon on the subject, but that is
Just my experience. Let me add I have never heard teaching/preaching on subject of justification by faith either.

Re: Do OPs have a grace problem?
On the other hand I have never heard a teaching on Hell either. Ive heard it mentioned as a snippet of some other topic but never a whole teaching. In Church that is.
