Right.
I am not talking about attending any weed smoking circles... obviously it needs to be clearly about Jesus.

I think it may be compared to a Christian Coffee House setting but with the advantage of everyone participating in the music.

"They are distinct from a drumming group or troupe in that the drum circle is an end in itself rather than preparation for a performance."
I find this Wikpedia quote interesting.

We had a kids' musical at our church a couple of summers ago, and it was called "Stomp'N'Praise", based on Stomp. They made their own percussion "instruments", and learned songs, and then we had a guest drum teacher from another church come in and do a special session with them. He brought his collection of percussion instruments, (there was something for all the kids to try out), and they worked on playing rhythms together. The kids had a blast!
So I'm sticking with my original assessment...that its the purpose that matters. Not the type of instrument or the shape into which the chairs are arranged. LOL!

Thanks.
We may be able to do a "drum cross", though the circle is very condusive to gathering around a bon fire.
I like the idea of everyone being involved - young, old, talented or not.

I've had enough of that... If you can't back up saying something is wrong, don't say it... period...

I like drum circles. Unfortunately, my girth makes it a little difficult to play the drum upon which I am seated I can't comment on whether they're ok to do or not...sometimes it's all I can do to care about that
