I had not even thought about that... good point...

I have a church full of people that are willing to pay and have saved the money to pay...but I guess I'm lying since the office in Pheonix says otherwise.
Here you go again taking my statements out of context. Good grief.

You stated that the ILLEGALs are more than willing to pay; you said they didn't want free amnesty and are ready and willing to pay the penalties for their lawless behavior.

I simply posted a news statement I heard from a popular activist here in PHX who disagrees with you and wants the bill scrapped and a new bill written that gives amnesty for free.

I didn't post it as a source of statistical fact, it's just news.

I thought I'd share two funny emails I received awhile back.

Quote:
Funny Letter on Immigration
Letter to President Bush

Dear President Bush:

I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this.

I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here.

So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.

An open letter to President Fox

Hello Mr. Vicente Fox,

I feel that I'm being mistreated. See, I'm an illegal alien that arrived from Texas. I'm not paying taxes to use your social services, but I feel I should be able to receive free health care/medicade, housing, and my children should be entitled to a free education in their native language of English. While they're at school, please provide them with free meals.

Since I've been in Mexico, I have not had the inclination to learn Spanish. Would you and your countrymen make it easier for me to live here by translating everything in my native tongue so I don't have to learn Spanish? Can I protest when law-abiding citizens here in Mexico tell me I need to come here legally, pay taxes and learn Spanish? Can I wave an American flag in Mexico and demonstrate my pride in America on Mexican soil? Can I have my children miss classes to protest on the taxpayers dime eventhough they don't really know what's going on, but it's a day out of school?!

Mr. Fox you need me and others like me to drain your economy. My name is clueless because I really don't have a name in your country. I do drive, but without the proper I.D. and insurance. I realize that there are others waiting their turn to become citizens, but since I've been working here, illegally, you should put me in front of the line.

Clueless in Mexico

The Honorable Paul S. Sarbanes
309 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington DC, 20510

Dear Senator Sarbanes,

As a native Marylander and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Immigration and Naturalization Service in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My reasons for wishing to change my status from U.S.Citizen to illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's rovisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, what I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years.

I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out. Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.

Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance.

Your Loyal Constituent,
Pete McGlaughlin

I know non-hispanics that DO some of those jobs Americans supposedly do not, but the closer you get to the border or a major city like New York, the less you see Americans doing those jobs. I believe that if the illegals were to go to the cities where Americans are doing those jobs the employers would hire the illegals for less money and put the Americans out of a job

i agree with you.
In fact in the Church I pastor, we offer English classes.

Former Senator JD Hayworth has a radio program and has been giving his experience with the Immigration debate on Capitol Hill. He released these statistics he received while in office:

INS/FBI Statistical Report on Undocumented Immigrants
2006 (First Quarter)
95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
83% of warrants for murder in Phoenix are for illegal aliens.
86% of warrants for murder in Albuquerque are for illegal aliens.
75% of those on the most wanted list in Los Angeles , Phoenix and Albuquerque are illegal aliens.
24.9% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
40.1% of all inmates in Arizona detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
48.2% of all inmates in New Mexico detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
29% (630,000) convicted illegal alien felons fill our state and federal prisons at a cost of $1.6 billion annually.
53% plus of all investigated burglaries reported in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and Texas are perpetrated by illegal aliens.
50% plus of all gang members in Los Angeles are illegal aliens from south of the border.
71% plus of all apprehended cars stolen in 2005 in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California were stolen by Illegal aliens or "transport coyotes".
47% of cited/stopped drivers in California have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 47%, 92% are illegal aliens.
63% of cited/stopped drivers in Arizona have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 63%, 97% are illegal aliens.
66% of cited/stopped drivers in New Mexico have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 66% 98% are illegal aliens.

BIRTH STATISTICS
380,000 plus "anchor babies" were born in the U.S. in 2005 to illegal alien parents, making 380,000 babies automatically U.S.citizens and, under our laws, entitled to invite the rest of their family to join them.
97.2% of all costs incurred from those births were paid by the American taxpayers.
66% plus of all births in California are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

And that's just in the FIRST QUARTER of 2006!
