And then... when they finally catch him... he has settled down... he has a family & kids etc.

Hey, I'm just saying what was being said by a popular local pro-illegal immigration office here in Phoenix. They don't want to pay the penalties. They feel it's unfair for Congress to impose the penalties. They want free amnesty with no conditions attached.
DA - did I ever say I was an expert? No, I haven't. I'm not posing as anything. I simply stated that I've worked in immigration and was refuting some of what CP and you have stated. It doesn't make me an expert, it's just personal experience info.

I have a church full of people that are willing to pay and have saved the money to pay...but I guess I'm lying since the office in Pheonix says otherwise.
Where do you live? Have you picked up your local newspaper lately? Here it's filled every week with some news about a robbery, murder, assault, etc committed by an illegal.
My newspaper is filled with white and black americans that are ALWAYS committing crimes...
I visited our regional jail last week. Of 1400 inmates only 72 were illegals (including more than just spanish, might I add)
the system is broken if a woman can sit at home, continue to have children while the government pays for her house, her food and her health care - and she doesnt have to take one of these "low paying jobs" b/c she makes more making babies....
but an illegal can come in, pick our crops, clean our hotel rooms,cook our food, clean up after us, build our houses, mow our lawns - and we blame them for all the crime?

I agree... although I'm not a fan of amnesty. I would be willing to allow them to stay long enough to strive for their citizenship -- and have it sort of a probation type thing where if they aren't working toward their citizenship, then they are expelled. And I would make citizenship much harder than what it is now. For instance, in order to get a citizenship in Mexico you have to be proficient in Spanish (or bribery) -- why should the US be any different?

You're correct.. I don't.. and if it is hard now then the only thing I would add is the necessity to be able to speak English -- not that I have problem with people who speak in foreign languages as much as English is the main language of this nation, and is, in all actuality becoming the accepted global language. It is beneficial to those who don't speak it and to those who do.
