As you can see, anyone can mess with a quote, 1Cor. I read the other post right after you made it and you had "can" instead of "can't" in it. It was your boo-boo, not someone changing your post. Don't be so paranoid.

This is a must read for all one-steppers

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

36) And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37) And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38)
And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

39) And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

Philip attached himself to the eunuch preached Jesus. The euunuch then states what does hinder me from being baptized? Of course eunuch learned about baptism while preaching Jesus.....but wait...it gets better....

Notice what Philip tells the Eunuch "If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest."

Philip told the Eunuch ONLY IF YOU BELIEVE WITH ALL YOUR HEART you can get baptized.

Well one-steppers, there goes your theology out the window. If you believe with all your heart, you must be baptized. Just believing wasn't enough!

Really it is the account of the Ethiopian eunuch and the Phillipian jailer that destroys the the "three-stepper" doctrine for me. Neither one of them spoke in tongues but both of them are converted and saved.

You don't get baptized to get saved, bright one. You get baptized because you are saved. Jesus said if you love me, keep my commandments.

I'm kinda shocked how these one-stepper ministers haven't stepped to the plate. Perhaps because there's nothing to prove when they're in error and have nothing to defend themselves with?

I didn't realize one was required to receive the Holy Ghost baptism immediately after water baptism. What does their not having received it immediately prove? Nothing, in my opinion.

Pretty much everyone is over the one vs three thing. At least for now, anyway.

Is that the best you have?

Yes it is, but if you want to correct my thinking, please go ahead. I already know I don't know it all. I can listen. I can learn. I am ready.

1399,

Were there others that didn't receive the Holy Ghost right after baptism?

Hmmmm........

Acts 8:15-16

15) Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16) (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost."

Will you look at that? People that were baptized in Jesus name hadn't received the Holy Ghost till Peter and John came and laid hands on them!

What's to say that didn't happen to the Eunuch or Jailor? See how flawed your argument is?

Say Bro, Why did you change the scripture from "mayest" to "must"? Water Baptism in Jesus' Name is a privilege that all believers, in Jesus, "mayst" receive.
