...They both believe that Jesus is God. They both believe that He died for our sins. They both believe He rose again on the third day, that He was born of a virgin, that He bore the sins of the world, that hell is real and eternal, that heaven is real and eternal, that the bible is in infallible, inspired Word of God, that the Church is the Body of Christ......
The thing that bothers me about Apostolics is that they form their own little ghetto and are completely oblivious to the ways God is working in other Christian denominations. We're talking about Baptists here, not Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses.
Here we go again with the sweeping Generalizations.
The thing that bothers me about some non-Apostolics is that they form their own little ghetto and are completely oblivious to the ways God is working in other Christian denominations.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
Here we go again with the sweeping Generalizations.

Are all sweeping generalizations bad?

Oh, come on Prax... you know it's true. Sure, not all Apostolics are like that, but many are.
For example, Baptists like John Piper don't have problems inviting a Presbyterian to preach at his church; they may agree on 99% of the Christian faith, but disagree on baptism. (Think "Together for the Gospel" conference 2010 http://www.t4g.org/.)
But can you imagine an Apostolic inviting anbody other than another Apostolic? Just sayin'.

If I remember correctly, when Nathan Urshan was pastor of Calvary Tabernacle in his pre-GS days, he had Herald Bredesen (a Lutheran or Dutch Reformed pastor who had received the Holy Ghost Baptism) as a speaker at his church. I think I remember hearing that over their Sunday morning broadcast as an announcement.
