So the 10 tribes weren't lost. Judah consisted of members of all 12 tribes.

Also James in the NT opens his epistle with a greeting to the 12 tribes of Israel. So even in the time right after Jesus, the 12 tribes were identified.

There is nonsuch thing as Lost Tribes of Israel.
I agree.

None of these scriptures tells us where they would be today.

Over all it is very Caucasion/Anglo-Saxon centric. The Germans actually seem to have similar view during the years leading to the Holocaust. Further, I find nothing historically to verify the case for that position.

What I have found is that the Jewish people have married into various peoples wherever they have gone, and that is why there are some who look more Middle Eastern, European, or African. They have migrated all over the world. Of course, some of this is because there have been people who converted and intermarried with them.

I believe that all of the Jewish tribes have their bloodlines continued in the modern Jewish people. I also believe that they will eventually be able to divide it into the twelve tribes.
In looking at this again Jay, did he give references on how he came to these conclusions?

I will have to get back to you on how he arrived at his conclusions. It has been more years than I care to think about since I read the book. I will see if I can find it again and get you some of those references.

Re: Where are they today?

Esther,

I had many of these same questions myself for several years. Had heard that perhaps the 12 tribes of Israel were scattered throughout Europe, and even into America. Perhaps even why America is so blessed today?

A scripture opened my eyes recently to understand that it matters not whether I am a Jew or a Gentile by bloodline. Read Romans 11. Then go back and read verse 20-21:

Romans 11:20-21 "Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not high minded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee."

Picture in your mind this .... a tree, with this tree being Christ. The branches of the tree were natural, bloodline-deserving Israelites. Yet, in the scripture above, it says "Because of unbelief they were broken off". So these natural branches (Israel, the 12 tribes etc.) were broken off because of UNBELIEF. And why are we grafted in? Because of our faith.

The Israelites and the Gentiles are allowed to remain part of the tree, according to FAITH IN JESUS... without that faith, bloodline does not matter. Romans 11:21 "For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed, lest he also spare not thee."

Our concern should not necessarily be where those 12 tribes are residing today, and there is a great possibility they are mixed in all our bloodlines - how do we know? But in God's eyes, our bloodline matters not, only our FAITH IN JESUS and the work on the cross.

That gave me true hope after coming to see this. Hope this helps

No. I am just interested where they all are. Not trying to find out if I'm a Jew.

There was not then, but there has been a "diaspora" since then, undeniably? This keeps coming up, and I maintain that anyone reading this has a Jew in their ancestry, recently, and that while no recent history exists for this, there is some ancient history, that various people, rabbis, etc., have fairly good ideas about at least which direction at least many/most of the tribes headed in, so seek further here if you are led. YOU are descended from them, and a trip to ancestry.com or whatever would verify or deny this. A Hundred Cookies to anyone who can show me a tree 20 generations back with no Jew in it. Bet you got two.

Again my point is NOT trying to see if I'm a Jew.
