Re: Does your church have discernment?

Some guy was speaking in "Hebrew" once at the alter. I thought it was a little odd and not sure that was the Spirit so I asked and he admitted he was just saying those words.

Well Ferd, and Timmy; Timmy described the Egyptian children under Pharoah as 'innocent.' I assume we were debating the kids under the age of consent there, that might be presumed innocent even under Christianity's definition.

Sometimes, the only answer is "we'll understand it, all by and by."

i find this very unsatisfactory. It is said that we have no need to speak to the dead, as we "already know what the dead will say." The witch of Endor channeled Samuel to answer that pov, i think (and the one who thinks their church buying carpet might be displaying discernment?)

Re: Does your church have discernment?

Even if I felt someone were a fake, I wouldn't do anything to them or try to have them removed. Why would anyone do that? And what on earth does that have to do with "discernment?" If I knew for a FACT that someone was mocking God, I would let them have at it. God is their judge. If I did say anything, it would be to warn them for THEIR sake; not for God's sake. God doesn't need me to help Him dole out judgment.

Taking any kind of action like that is stepping on God's toes, IMO, and further, I don't think we have any biblical precedent for kicking people out of the altar. If God wants to knock someone dead or boot them out of the church, that's His call; not mine.
