We buy Amish butter through the Mennonites. It is wonderful. I use it in most recipes that call for shortening, I just use butter.

If you make a half-gallon smoothie, you must have a bigger blender than a Nutribullet. My Nutribullet only makes about 3 cups. That is a big smoothie to drink every morning!

So you ride a Cannondale bike every other day - please tell me you are not decked out in the typical bicycle rider's spandex clothing!!!! LOL
Spandex? Even if I was in the world lost in sin, I STILL would never wear what the Road cyclists wear. My blender is a Vita Mix which has a half gallon container. My breakfast is the smoothie with my breakfast. Which is bacon, 6 eggs over easy, oatmeal with blueberries, walnuts, pecans, almonds, flax seeds, coconut oil, with unhomogenized raw milk and raw butter. With a bowl of yogurt. Nutribullet 3 cups for a woman that's about right, I can't do that because I'm still a growing boy.

On second thought, I suppose if you ride 50 miles every other day on a bike you would burn most of it off. But that's a lot of food to put away!

Big breakfast, then for lunch it is usually either chicken breast, turkey, or bison. Dinner is salmon, chicken, or beef.

Riding the bicycle in the South Florida heat and then my gym where I weight train is out in the yard where it gets pretty steamy. You shed fat like its being taken off with a blow torch. If I don't feed myself while I'm doing all that exercise I would look like David "Stringbean" Akeman in no time.

Well that is a pretty impressive regimen! Are you intentionally trying to lose weight, or are you doing it because you enjoy the exercise?

I really like eating real food (went the whole vegetarian and vegan route it didn't work for me) and I enjoy exercise. I believe that people should eat right, and take care of themselves. In the church world people sure are out of shape, and pretty sickly.

Re: Facts, Lies or Truth About Healthy Living?

Not just in the church world, but in general, the American public is obese, and the epidemic is growing. I agree that eating real food is the biggest change that you can make to your lifestyle, but the next most difficult change is real exercise. That one usually is the sinker for most. You can do it for a while, but it is hard to make it a lifestyle. I get a lot of exercise, but I know I need more. We eat real food - produce that we have grown, venison we have hunted, and fresh farm organically grown meat. I am working on the dairy. products Will see the Mennonites tomorrow.

The main thing I know I need to build into our lifestyle goes beyond just cardio exercise (which I get at least 1 hour 3-4 times a week or more), and that is to add some strengthening, and weights for muscle building.

We purchase this very milk regularly! It's the next best thing to raw grass-fed organic.
